  • 1 tsp sugar or honey

Instructions for preparing Chicken Butter Masala

For best flavor, let it rest overnight. To prep the chicken for the butter masala, sprinkle kasturi methi and fenugreek leaves before eating.

Step 1: Cook the Chicken.

First, the chicken needs to be marinated. Drill a pan or grill and set it to medium heat. Put the marinated chicken in and grill it until the chicken is golden brown. Set it aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Butter Masala Gravy.

Put a pan on the stove, turn the heat up. Put in some butter, a little bit of oil, and let them fry. It would be best if you added bay leaves, cloves, and cardamoms. As for now, let them splutter. Pour in the sliced onions and toss until they become a shade darker than yellow. It is your choice if you want them in a light golden brown or an engulfing golden brown.

Put in ginger-garlic paste and toss until the raw odur does not linger.

After that, add some tomato puree and allow it to cook until the oil starts to split.

Put tablespoon portions of the spice mixture you have prepared which comprises of chili powder, turmeric, salt, coriander powder, cumin powder, and pepper.

Make sure to mix well and then keep cooking for a while, about five minutes.

Put in honey or if preferred, sugar for sweetness.

Step 3: Combining Chicken and Gravy.

First you need to attach the cooked chicken pieces to the gravy and mix it. After mixing it perfectly that there are no lumps left, polish it off with fresh cream and fold carefully as it's boiling hot.

Simmer the gravy for about 5 minutes and if you want to take it over the edge, allow it to become perfectly incorporated.

Step 4: Garnish and Serve.

After putting the chicken and the butter masala together, the step to garnish comes in order. Take the chicken and butter masala you just cooked and put it into a bowl. Sprinkle in freshly cut coriander leaves then macerate and serve spice additions with noodles, roti, or rice.

Pro Tips to Boost Chicken Butter Masala.

When making gravy, it helps to use fresh and ripe tomatoes to assist in the remove of tangy flavor.

"Marination" is the most important step. Without creating a "marinate" and waiting for chicken to soak in your special spices/seasonings, an already delicious chicken will become far more tasty.

Don't forget to include Kasuri Methi. This legendary herb is dried fenugreek leaves and only crusted dried methi can add that authentic restaurant feel and taste.

For serving, add butter for that last moment touch. This will greatly enhance the richness of the dish.
